Pen Pal Programme
Weekly written exchanges between French & British children
Are you a British parent with a child (8+) wishing to connect with a French penpal?
The Pen Pal Exchange Process
The French children will write their letters during their sessions with their English Brother/Sister. The letters will be written in English and include 3 or 4 questions in French.
The British children can then (depending on their level) either:
- write their entire letter in French, and ask 3 or 4 questions in English, or
- write their letter in English, and include 3 or 4 questions in French
The letters will be sent via email (in a word or PDF) document to a central address (firstname.lastname@example.org) before being sent to the child's English Sister/Brother who will then share it with the student.
The letters from the French children will be sent to the British parents (to be shared with their child).
Ideally, the kids will take it in turns to write a letter each week (e.g. first week Amélie writes a letter to Sophie, second week Sophie responds to Amélie).
